View Full Version : Detail View vs Callout View Behaviour

I am working on a brick building and have created window families with wall closure lines that allow the brick to return at these window openings. This looks great for the overall floor plans at 1/8".
If I create a callout view (on the right) the brick return displays correctly. If I create the view as a detail (on the left) it displays without the return.

Just wondering if this has always been the case and I just didn't notice it before and what, if any, rationale there might be for this behaviour.

Anyone out there have a comment on this one?

Never noticed this, although to be truthful, I never really had to change from the default callout view. And I don't typically use windows either, but use the curtainwall tool for windows. I've used the wrapping features inside doors, but we have legacy dwg head/jamb/sill details so I never tried detailing from the Revit model. Not much help, but thought I'd drop some comments.

I have also noticed detail callouts displaying strange behaviour - they would not display columns or window mullions but a floor plan callout would. Made sure to check all visibility settings and family visibility settings but found nothing. Maybe something for the factory to investigate?
