I have a split level design with 4.5 feet difference between floor plates. I put in a plan region and can't seem to tag or create rooms within the walls.

I went to my +4.5' level and created the rooms, try to tag them in my +0 level with the plan region and I see the room name, but after I click it disappears and then gives me an warning message about visibility that says: none of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: Second Floor view. you may want to check the active view, its parameters, and visibility settings, as well as any plan regions and their settings.

Any Ideas?

I've been having similar issues today.

It appears as though the primary cut plane of the view range (view properties) must be set to cut through all the room volumes that you wish to label or colour (NZ spelling). Check the height of your rooms in section first (turn on with Visibility Graphics / Rooms / Interior Fill).

Then use multiple plan regions to control the visibility of all other objects (walls / doors / stairs) on the relevant multiple levels.

Hope this helps - Merry Xmas.

Rooms in 9.1 have the ability to span multiple floors. I think you may need to delete the room you placed on the +4.5' level and place it on the 0' level. Then you will need to set the upper limit of your room to the +4.5' level and give it a decent offset value to ensure it crosses your cut plane.

I think Crispin was parially correct with regards to the room height, but I believe the root of the problem is with the initial work plane (level) you placed the room on. Remember, rooms can only span multiple floor levels upwards, so the workplane your room is initially placed on becomes critical when spanning multiple floors.

If you have not done so already, you may also want to check the view depth of your view range.

Hope this is useful.
