Column materials

Could I please have some help with the display of column materials.

It relates to a very simple rectangular column

The columns are to show my brickwork hatch when cut.

I have set them up as follows:
In the drawing
-The column material in the column properties is set to by category
-The Column material in the Object Styles dialogue box is set to brickwork
-The Visibility Graphics is by category (ie not overidden)

In the family
-The material in the column family is set to by category with a named sub-category
-No material is designated in the Object Styles Dialogue.


Note:
The surface pattern shows correctly.
They render with the correct AccuRender material

My understanding is if I have set it up this way then the Object Styles dialogue in the drawing should govern the material designation. It seems to work for surface pattern and Accurender material but not cut pattern.

To All,
Don't worry about my last. Today is another day and it decided to work as it should. I suspect it has more to do with my computer setup then with Revit
