Filtering Schedules

I've got a question...

I have two types of brick 'materials' (type A and B) defined and my boss needed me to generate a material take-off with just these two materials. I thought, "no problem", I could just do it with two separate filters by material names, one for A and one for B, but it wouldn't do it. I could do it as two separate take-offs, but when I try to filter more than one value within the same schedule, it would just show up blank.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get this to work within the same schedule?

Use group by instead of filter. It will split the schedule by the material type. Pick the header footer with totals and it will total the area if you checked its total box
