I've brought in a bunch of DWG's and exploded them. And after doing that I have a ton of new filled regions that I don't want in my project. Is there a way to clean these out and get rid of them?

Yep - one new filled region for each AutoCAD entity. Revit really needs to deal with this in a different way. If you have 10 hatches in AutoCAD that are all the same pattern and same scale - you get 10 filled regions in AutoCAD.
You need to select all the similar ones and consolidate them under one name - preferably a native Revit filled region using a Revit defined pattern. You'll then be able to purge the unused patterns.
