View Full Version : Font Issue I haven't read about
I would like to replace the Arial font with our standard office font (MTGillsansLight). When I do this the text height is much smaller then the 3/32" it was set for. Has this been an issue with others when replacing the Arial font with an office standard font? It does seem to work fine when replacing Arial with many of the other TT fonts out there except this one. Short of finding a new font replacement which probably wouldn't go over well with higher ups I would like to know if this is an issue that can be worked out.

It could be that the MT GillsansLights was designed with a differnt height ratio than Arial. Do the same point sizes look the same height if you just type them in Word?
It looks correct in word as well as AutoCAD where it has been our standard for many years.

Slightly off topic but you will probably want to do some plotting tests as well. If you export to dwf or dwg there can be some problems with some TT fonts and text wrapping. If the 'higher ups' are that particular about which font to use then they'll be really ticked if text is not printing correctly.
