Underlay problems

Well, I have another question seeking some help - I have a second floor view and I want the first floor to be the underlay. When I turn on the 1st floor to be the underlay, nothing shows up. It does show up in wireframe but not in hidden line and I need it to appear in hidden line view. I already checked the view range, etc... and nothing is overlapping or intersecting. Has anyone else had this problem and how to resolve it?

I wonder if you have floor slabs turned on and they're obscuring what's below.

Tried checking that by turning off the visibility of floors...
Nothing changed other than floors were turned off. Still did not see the underlay. Besides, that really shouldn't obsure it anyway, should it?

Perhaps the underlay orientation is set to Reflected Ceiling Plan instead of Plan?

Thought about that too... that is not the case. It is very peculiar.

If you say it's showing up in wireframe but not in hidden line, then there is something obscuring it, perhaps a mass? If you were not seeing it in wireframe mode, than it would be a different story.
