Hi,
I'm trying to mask my revit model to hide the basement on my elevation sheet. My site has a slight slope so i do not want to just crop the view horizontally. Has anyone managed to crop the view to the topo surface or to a more complex line than strictly horizontal?

i would use a a filled region. the fill pattern can be set to no pattern so that if you export, it won't come out as a big black blob.
by the way, the topo should hide the basement anyways. can you post a screen shot. something seems a little funny. or are you using a toposurface at this point?

Have you tried a filled region? This needs to be done on a view by view basis. Use invisible line for the outline and white for the filled region.
Hope this helps.

Justin, you are right...unless it is a section, the elevation should not show the basement, since usually the elevation cut line is in front of the basement wall....
