View Full Version : Disappearing elevation tag

Here's an odd one. I have a file where a part of several elevation tags disappears.

For example: here's an elevation tag that looks like there's no second elevation associated with the tag... but click and you'll see that there is. The left hand arrow on the tag is missing.

Some more info: the tag points to an elevation placed on a sheet, and the view is set to Do not display, since there's a drafting view in the same location that has an elevation drawn in AutoCAD. I can't imagine that this has anything to do with it.

Any ideas?

Any phases associated with this elevation tag?

Phases...guys in the office have been screwing that up all week long with their first new/existing/demo project. (Course there has been no time to train them yet...)

Nope - there's no use of them in this project.

And more weirdness: I have a section for which the section mark has disappeared! I right click on the section to find a referring view, and Revit returns with "Cannot find referencing object"...

Is the cut plane of the elevation outside of the view that you are showing, somehow??

I'm thinking this all had to do with a structural beam I was using where I boneheadedly set one parameter to zero. Revit immediately gave me the opportunity to save my work  and when I reopened the recovery file I continued to use it. It's possible that my file started to go to the dark side at that time.
