Find a Decal

Is there anyway to find a Decal once it's been placed in a Project?
I've got a project that keeps getting lots of Decals inserted. I do a Purge Unused, get rid of 58 Decals drop the .rvt file size by about 20 Meg, and then a few days later, they're back.

If I knew where they were, I could probably clean up the Family (or the user). but all I've got to identify the decals is 58 Decals named ??? in the Purge unused list. I don't see Decals in the Family or Group lists, so I can't do a Select All, and they don't show in a 3D view, so I can't select them there, either. <squint icon>

yes look in your hiden space

In 2011 and 2012, turn on Realistic View and the Decals will show in 3D Views.

You should be able to see them and select all and delete.

I'm in 2011 and my decals do not show up in a realistic view, am I missing something?

Is the surface your decals are placed on split? Decals won't appear on a split surface in RAC2011.

Nope, it is on a curtain wall panel. and it doesn't even show when it is on basic wall, no split surfaces.

Problem solved, I had the decal set to provide some luminance, when I turned that off the image showed up.
