Can anyone tell me how to access the follow check box under the plot dialogue:

"Combine multiple selected views/sheets into a single file"

For all of our printers that we have set up, this line remains unaccessbile even when you click the plot to file.

This check box is accessible for DWF output only. It is Autodesk's way of steering users to DWF as opposed to PDF.

You can trick the system to allow you to use this option if you still have the DWF version 2 writer that shipped with 8 and 8.1. Select the DWF writer and choose the combine into one file option. Then before printing switch to the Revit PDF writer. The option will gray out but it will remain the active selection.

Or you can use the newer DWF tools to get a multipage DWF, then use DesignReview or the DWF Viewer to print that to cutePDF or whatever. We are leaning towards DWF being the inhouse standard format, and convert to PDF when sending something out of the building.

Speaking of which, has anyone had experience with a multi-page files for a large CD set? Does this get unwieldy at 100 plus sheets? Do you break them down to a separate DWF/PDF for Arch, Structures, Interiors, etc?

Best,
Gordon

100 plus is too big for a single file. Way slow. Navigation is much faster with separate files.

The best software I have found to batch print multi sheets into one file is PDF Factory. It collects as many pdf prints as many different applications (Revit, Word, Excel....) as you like and when you are done it saves is to one file.
