i'd like to know how you call out a level and have it appear only in the desired section. in order to avoid having to hide it in all other sections.

also, are there any ideas as to why i would not have the option of viewing or turning on a particular level in a particular section even though it is cutting through that exact area?

Do you really need this level if you don't want it visible in most views? If you need to identify an elevation for the top of an object or raised slab you can use the Spot Dimension tool to do so.

If you really need a level then you can use a scope box to surround the area of the project you want this level to be visible in and then assign the level to the scope box. Take a look at the tutorial forum for the Scope Box Tutorial (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=11935&highlight=scope) and Revit's help documentation.

Don't understand the second question, sorry!

the reason i need to make another level in this particular instance is because i have one section that is just not showing a particular level. the only solution i could come up with is to put a new level in for just that section but ofcourse it appears everywhere else and conflicts with the original one.

I think the confusion might be in the terms you're using. By one section do you mean one portion of a plan view? If so have you tried creating a Plan Region?
That will allow you to change the view range for a portion of the plan so it is different than the views default view range. Check out the help file

sorry for the confusion. i meant a building section, not a portion of a view, or a plan region. let's say i have 3 wall sections, and let's say there is a level called 2nd flr. which is at 10'-0". this level mark is showing up on two sections but for some reason, it's not showing on the 3rd.

i just figured it out though... i changed the "far clip offset". don't really know why it needed to be changed, but that did it.
