.
The traditional method is to fill in the space with a new solid (plug the hole) and then 'Union' the two into one. With all the new 3D tools this can be pretty easy.
I have also been successful by reversing the same pushpull effect and filling in the void space.

Is it possible to fill in a gap in an object created with the push/pull function?Hi,
In Modify menu locate Solid Editing it will give you possible editing options on faces and edges of solids. Use Delete Faces option to make hole disappearing act. Select all faces first and then remove faces you wish to keep in drawing (let hole be selected -dotted).

Yes, select the wall of the gap with CTRL+Left click. Then either snap it to the other wall (rectangle) or drag it completely out of the solid (circle).
