handrails in plan

I have always wondered why handrails do not hide the stair tread (or anything else for that matter) underneath them. I always have to go around with a region fill to make them look right. Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere?

No, the stairs all around still need some work, its that way for everyone :(

There is a way to get the handrails to hide the stairs, just not on your overall plans. If you do a "detail callout" of your stair then the stair is true 3d objects and will hide. However you don't get the hidden lines for items above the cut plan.
