I used to manage the AutoCAD Users Group of SA website and even now occaisionally get questions. Some I know answers too, some I don't... This is one of the don't ones...
My problem is I have lost the command line (R14) !
I can type 'textscr', but I cannot dock it.
I can click 'Tools>text window', but I still cannot dock it.
What have I done?
I've looked under the desk, in my pockets, in the glovebox - everywhere!
but it's gone! Can you please help! I hope you guys can provide me with some suitable answers... please be gentle as I'm a Reviteer now and have forgotten some of the AutoCAD ways.

does typing "commandline / commandlinehide" work on R14 - this should bring the command line back
also CTRL - 9 switches the com'line on off
but don't know this is valid for R14

Hi
For starters try the following threads...
Command Line Box - Missing
Have you lost your command line
Command Line has disappeared?
Have a good one, Mike

Unfortunately the above information is only valid for AutoCAD 2006 or higher users.
Have a good one, Mike

The traditional way with R13/14 was to reduce the Windows display resolution, open/close acad, reset the display and restart acad. That would normally force the box back into the Win display area.
