View Full Version : Underlay shows future phase

Anyone noticed that if you turn on >view properties>underlay>level above , the level above shows all phases, not just the same phase as the level being worked on. :shock:

Should this be so ? and if so why ?

( Maybe its just been a long week :cry: )

I think the underlay displays whatever settings are on that underlay. the underlay should look identical to the view you are underlaying, so if you go to that view and change its settings then your underlay will change. you may want to make copies of the view for diff. phase settings.

I don't follow that. Lets say I'm looking at the view for the Basement-Existing, I turn on underlay for the level above, (Level 1), - there are 3 different views set up for Level 1 for the different phases ( Existing, Demolition and New ), ... however the underlay shows a combination of all 3 ? The same thing happens if I go to the view - Basement -New and select underlay - level above.
So how do I direct Revit to display the view - Level 1 Existing, as the correct underlay for the view Basement Level Existing ?
