Ramps don't get cut?

I've noticed that ramps above the cut plane aren't getting cut consistently. If I zoom in gradually, I see dashed edges for the ramps, and sometimes the ramp never shows as cut. Oh wait -- those are just the handrails! The ramp itself doesn't get cut at all... why do ramps display this way?

Is there a way to make them show as cut by the cut plane like sloped floors and stairs?

Thanks folks. Anyone from the factory can put in a word of explanation; it would certainly help.

I haven't yet found a way to make them look decent other than to cover them with a white filled region that you draw a cut symbol into.
