What is everyone doing for noting dbl doors on the schedule? Obviously the width become 2x a single door, but how do you get revit to do something like 2@900? I could see a custom parameter where you could manually add it, but this would screw up the single doors.

And secondly, how is everyone handling curtain wall doors? do you create 2 single doors, or a dble door family?

Thanks

Justin

We just use the description field to do that, since we haven't been able to figure out how to do it in the dimensions. Beyond that, it hasn't been an issue. We started out on curtain walls doing single doors with a curtain grid in between, but it's cleaner to make a double door insert - no extra curtain grid, fewer mullion peices, etc. It also then doesn't take any management to keep the sizes appropriate and make sure that grid line was cenetered, etc.

Take a look at a post by pyllisr about how they are handling this issue. It's not a bad solution and seems to work pretty well.

We schedule the overall width (Ex: 6'-0") and the door type parameter tells you whether it's single (type "1") or double (type "2").

Another option is to always use the built in width as the leaf size. You'll need to add another parameter in for overall width. This need not be a shared parameter if it isn't destined to be in the schedule. Lastly - add in a shared parameter field for Pr. doors and add another column in the schedule.

Or add a calculated field to the schedule and divide the width by 2
