I would like to export tool palettes that I have created to the 'office standard' tool palette. I have the ATP stuff from ADT 2004, but I cannot get the same functions from 2005?

Does anyone know how to export tool palettes from 2005?

Thanks!

Hi

Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the CAD Management Software Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=117) to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

Mike,
Thanks for the link.

I have been able to accomplish most of the directions of the article. Have you tried this? I can create a tool catalog, but I don't understand what they mean about "7. Drag your Autodesk Architectural Desktop tool palettes content to Content Browser to store this data in the newly created catalog."

I can't drag anything into the catalog from ADT? :screwy:

Thanks again.

No, I don't have AutoCAD 2004 or 2005 or ADT.

Would you like me to move this thread to the ADT General Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=41)? Where I believe you would have a greater opportunity of receiving some help on this subject.

Thanks, Mike

Yes, if you think that would be a better place for it to be. (I can't always figure out the best place to put my questions!)

Thank you for your help!

Hi Jessica

Done.

Post moved from the ACAD 2005 General Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58) to here.

Hopefully someone with ADT knowledge will now see your post and offer some guidance.

Thanks, Mike

In ADT, set up the palette you want to share. Open the Content Browser and open the destination Tool Catalog therein. [Optional: Create one or more categories to group like palettes together. You can do this later and move the palettes into the categories at that time.]

Make ADT the current Window. Left click on the palette name tab, holding down the mouse button, and drag your mouse to the Content Browser icon on the task bar. [The cursor will change to the circle with slash icon, which merely means you can not currently drop the palette - this is okay.] Hover over the Content Browser icon while continuing to hold the left mouse button down. The Content Browser window will pop open. Drag your mouse over the Content Browser window, and the cursor should change to an arrow with a screened open rectangle and a plus sign in a box. You can now release the left mouse button and drop the tool palette into the catalog.
