View Full Version : Image visibility by boolean?

I am trying to create a title block with scanned stamps. Ideally there would be a Type for each stamp. However, there is no Visibility option for images, so I created a Generic Annotation for each stamp, as well as one for some text that just says Preliminary - Not For Construction. Then I load all the individual generic annotations into a single Stamps generic annotation, and create boolean type parameters for each nested generic annotation and tie their visibility to them. Now in the Stamps generic annotation I can't get anything to hide. I would think that when I create a Type with one stamp visible and all others not, and apply it, I would see that. But I don't, I see all of the stamps all the time. So then I load the Stamps family in an actual title block, and I get nothing at all of the images. If I change the Type to Preliminary I see my text, but if I change it to one of the stamp types, the text disappears but no stamp shows up. The image traveled from the first generic annotation to the second no problem, but it seems to have not come along for the ride to the title block.
Any thoughts? Am I barking up an empty tree? I seem to have done that a lot lately. Lots of forehead pain from all the head banging. ;)

Thanks,
Gordon

I had what sounds like a similar problem back in 2003, refer this thread (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=914). I never did follow this up, but just went with turning the visibility of text on/off, which is fortunately an option.
Maybe try Beegee's approach in the link above.
