Family Type: View Titles

What does this link to?

I wanted to have a nice drop-down menu in my door family where I could select from the various door jamb/head/threshold details we use, and though that "View Titles" would show me all the various views in my project.

Doesn't seem to do anything though.

View Titles are system families....when you drag and drop a view to a sheet, you get a title (typically view name, detail numer and scale). That's the view title.

To clarify - the view title is the graphic - not the info.

There isn't any way to link the door to the view. The best you can do is have a field which displays the desired reference - however this must be manually entered and coordinated.

I thought it was something like that, but since I didn't have any loaded, it wouldn't even let me add the parameter to try it out.
