Hi everyone

I have created a dynamic block that has both a stretching and a rotating component. I was able to to get the rotating component to work just find. However, I am not able to properly stretch the object orthogonally after I have rotated it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have attached a copy of the block in question.

Hi R.K. McSwain

Your modification work perfectly. If possible can you tell me what you changed. I took a careful look at all of the values and I cannot seem to find your changes. I asked because I am frequently making dynamic blocks and I most likely will run into this issue again. Thanks a mil.

In your block you included both the stretch action and the distance parameter as part of the rotate where as Mr R.K. McSwain only included the distance parameter not both

The golden rule of Dynamic Blocks is:

"Thou Shalt not include thy actions with thy parameters."

this is true of 90% of Db situations.

Thank you... thank you... thank you!

I have been pounding my head on the keyboard over this one. I just kept trying the same thing over and over hoping that I would get a different outcome... I needed a fresh look at the application of stretch combined with rotation.

yup

7 out of 5 times, it's less painful to ask the question here first. ;)
