This is a drawing specific problem...
We have 3 or 4 drawings (out of 100's) that blocks when typing
PLOT (+Enetr)
The hourglass keeps hanging and we have to shut down acad by Windows Task Manager...
This happens on different computers (same dwg's) with different versions of Acad (2005, 2006)
Not with ACAD2007
Any ideas?
Thx, Johan

Can you run the ._PAGESETUP command successfully?
Does the current pagesetup in these drawings point to a PC3 file that is not available?

I can run PAGESETUP, but when i click modify - ACAD hangs again.
The PC3 file displayed in the PAGESETUP dialogbox does exist...

I have had this error. To fix the error I had to get the pc3 files from
the computer that created the cad file. I did not find any other workaround.
When I upgraded from 05 to 06, I had to grab all of the 05 pc3 files.
All of my files would return the error without the 05 pc3 files.
I hope I do not have to do this for every version of AutoCad. I will be
running future versions with the pc3 files I created in 05.
Since when does something make sense?

The PC3 file displayed in the PAGESETUP dialogbox does exist...OK, but is it possible that the driver referenced in the PC3 file is not available?
In this case, you should get a dialog telling you this message, but I have seen machines hang up as you describe also without getting this dialog.
If you remove this PC3 file from it's location (so AutoCAD can't find it), does the "hang-up" go away?

Yes it does...
And i can select another PC3 file.
If I restore the PC3 file, i can select it again...
Fixed... Thanks a lot, rkmcswain.
BTW - does i have to do this with every drawing?
