Ensure Floating Viewports are turned ON when copied

Does anyone know how to set the variable for viewports?
When I copy/past any viewport it defaults to "OFF" I would like to change this to default to "ON" - anyone?

There is no variable. Inserted viewports are off by default.

If you are copying within the same layout, use ._COPY instead, otherwise you'll have to use either ._MVIEW or ._PROPERTIES to turn on the inserted viewport.
