Same problem as the last time I'm thinking.

I've got a drawing, and all of the layers are correct and set properly. I updated our base xref with newer information and all of a sudden I'm getting random disappearances of my xref and even some of the stuff on the plan itself. The weird thing is is a lot of the stuff shown on the plot and a lot of the stuff not shown are on the same layer with the same properties. I can't figure out what's wrong.

Pictures are attached, any help is appreciated.

Dose this just happen in the plot sheets or are they not displaying in a model spcae plan/view as well. I've had my plan view disappear before. I'd made a copy of the bad file, went to a 3d view (all model part were showing) and copied and pasted into a new drawing. Worked fine. If you have a lot of text on the problem view, you can copy and paste that as well. Just a thought.

Physical drawings and plot preview only. They show up perfectly fine in model/any other space.

So your "view" file looks ok, your "sheet" file looks or, but your "Construct" (Model Plan) had disappeard, and it's not plotting correctly. If this is the case, I'd create a new construct with all the same parameters (level and such) then I'd copy and paste the old non-working construct elements into the new construct. One other question, are you running any 3rd party software over the top of ADT? Are you using Project Navigator? (My response assumes you are) Just some thoughts.

No third-party software, and I don't use the project manager.

I've tried copying the plans over to a new drawing file before as well with the same results.

Also, I'm running Autodesk Building Systems, not ADT.

Ok, now I'm grasping at straws. I'm guessing that you've tried an Audit, purge, delete reg apps......all the basics. Are you dealing with very large file size? Checked the Cut plane? Checked if you've hidden that object? Frozen Layer? Here's another good question, each time you look at the bad drawing, dose the plot preview always display the same info, or do they look different each time? What's the actual plot (paper) look like?

I've had this happen a couple of times and every time was able to start a new drawing and copy and paste everything from the corrupted file into the new drawing. If I read your posts correctly you've already tried this. My only other thought is; does it happen on every machine it's opened on? If you don't have access to another machine you could post the drawing here and I'll try to plot it.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

The last time this happened to me I asked the architect for a new CAD file and when I xref'd it in, it fixed the problem. The Cut Plane isn't one I was thinking about though, and it makes a lot of sense. I'll look into that next.

Edit: Not the cut plane

Even more interesting items to mention:

If I do a plot of the model space set to extents, everything shows up as it should.

When I do a plot window of the area I need, it goes back to displaying only part of the floor plan like I've shown in the Plot Preview.jpg file posted.
