topo from 3d cad

I imported a 3d cad dawing and am trying to make a topo from that but for some reason it doesnt copy the dwg topo drawing it only puts 1 contour in. What am I doing wrong?

Look at where the topos are in relationship to the Settings>Site Settings dialog box. Key in on the "Passing Through Elevation" box.
