I'm looking at doing an internal perspective showing where the sun enters different rooms, it doesn't seem to be working for me! it is showing the room with full shadow, no sun at all, whereas if i look at the room from the outside using the same shadow setup it shows some sun entering the room, is there some type of different setting which needs to be used to do this internally?

I think this is a known problem. I'm not sure what happens if you have windows with no glass in them.

Hey there,
Perspective (camera generated) views have been know not to show interior sun penetration through windows. This has been discussed before here.
The only work-around that I know of that still gives you what you may be looking for is to do a 3D ortho view with the crop box feature. Cut your roof and ceiling off (or just not show them in this view if the wall height is a good reference) and then use your sun settings and orient the view to shown what you want. Once you cast shadows, you will see most of your sun penetration into rooms and spaces.
I usually cut the top of the crop box to be right at the ceiling line so that the window heads are visible in the view. That way, I can see the entire sun penetration as it moves based on what time of year and time of day.
Good Luck
Steve
