When dragging a file into A2005, the dropper appears and when the button is released I get an error " There was an error getting remote http://*****.dwg" .
Can someone suggest a solution to this problem?

Hi

Do you get the error message from all web sites that use i-drop technology or just one particular site?

Have a good one, Mike

I have tried 4 different sites and received the same message from all.

Hi

To see if it's web site related or a problem at your end, go to the following location and try downloading the chair into your AutoCAD drawing using i-drop -

i-drop Indicator (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2753219&linkID=2475161)

I just tested here and was successful (but I'm using AutoCAD 2002).

Hi

You can try re-installing the i-drop indicator -

i-drop Indicator (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=2753219&linkID=2475161)

+

It might be worth a browse of the i-drop Developer Centre (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=1862830) on the Autodesk web site.

Have a good one, Mike

Have removed the extension and re-installed.
Same error message in both 2004 & 2005

Cannot find where the application was loaded to on the harddrive.
Is there a way of viewing running extensions?

Hi

As far as I'm aware "Extensions" from Autodesk if installed show within the "Add/Remove Programs" area under Control Panel (Please note I don't actually have any "Extensions" installed so I could be writing total rubbish, hopefully someone with "Extensions" installed can confirm one-way or the other).

Have a good one, Mike

I have the express tools and the menu porter showing in my add/remove list, which I expected, but, I see nothing separate for the i-drop indicator.

I have resolved the issue.
Deleting cookies and Temporary Internet files allowed the i-drop command to work.
Found a link to the resolution through the autodesk i-drop discussion group ( in a round about fashion).
