IMAGE IN 3D VIEW

I need to have an image (*.png) of a site plan show up in 3D...i've imported the image into the site plan so i can begin massing studies but need the site image to show up in perspectives and axons. any ideas?

You can't see an image in 3d unless its a rendered view. sorry.

This reminds me, i noticed that decals seem to show as crossed out rectangles in all views when not rendered. For presentation purposes they are disruptive in non-rendered views but there seems to be no easy way to turn them off, except by filtering all generic model objects in every one of those views or by filtering using comments. Does anyone know of an easier way to handle this?
