I am working on a shopping centre redevelopment and have drawn the project in one file. Throughout this project we are working on different areas of development each area is tendered as a separate contract and so require a whole set of drawings eg A1.01 Site, A2.01 Floor plans etc.
My problems is how can I number each individual area on the project browser so my sheet numbers and detail callout detail relate to each individual area of work?
I have been able to change the label on my titleblock to allow me the number each area differently but my callout still show thw project number from the browser.
Or can I amend the paramenter of the callout tag so it does not show the sheet number?

I see several possibilites...
1. Use different sheet numbers, making a field that makes the sheet number project specifc, like Ab1.01, Ab2.01 for a project - Ac1.01, Ac2.01 for the next, etc.
2. Do a saveas on the file for each separate project - thus the base information remains the same and each subsequent project "reuses" the sheet numbers.
3. Use linked files. Make the main centre its own file, then link the "centre" file into a new file to do each subsequent project. Based on your cursory explanation of the project, I'd recommend this approach.

You are trying to use the same details for different projects?
I tried to write my thoughts 3 times already, each time erasing them because it seemed too confusing...the truth is that you have a few options at this point.
To answer your last question, yes, you can always modify the callout tag, section tag to have a parameter other than the standard titleblock sheet number (for instance your own shared parameter that distinguishes each project)
So, as an example you have sheet
A1-A2.01 for the floor plan of Contract 01 which has a shared parameter for the project sheet number A2.01,
A2-A2.01 for the floor plan of Contract 02 which has a shared parameter for the project sheet number A2.01,
A3-A2.01 as A2.01, etc.
And the single common detail would be detail number 401 on sheet A4.01, referencing sheet A2.01
So if all the first floor plans reference the same detail and the floor plans have the same shared parameter for the sheet number, then your project will always be coordinated.
This method, in my opinion, is the least disruptive, causing the least amount of work and keeping the set together as you currently have it.
I may be missing other scenarios that may make this method problematic, but I can't think of any issues at this point. I did a whole shopping center in Revit in one project, but it was one contract.(5 buildings)
I hope you figure it out...
