I've just been handed a plan that just needs certain portions printed off. I have to print off an 'L' shaped room and one that is similar to an 's' shape. The problem is that I can't make my callout window change to a L shape. It appears Revit callouts can only be squares or rectangles. Its kinda simiar to making circular viewports in CAD. Any ideas or do i have to say Revit can't do that.

Callout can only be rectangular in Revit. So are viewports.

...though you can use a White Filled Region (or whatever color is appropriate) with invisible lines to hide the offending geometry...

I have done circular Viewports on Cad. The only solution i've found is to use a filled region in white opaque with invisible to cover up the areas I don't need. I don't like doing it this way, so I think the Revit people should make a callout window that you can sketch out.

use no pattern for your filled region, because if you export to acad there will be a big black blob.

non-rectilinear callouts have been on the wish list for some time now, I think.
