All grips are showing up, even though not all visibility states are active

Being new to dynamic blocks I have a general question on visibility states.

I created a manhole block with visibility states for 4 sizes. When I select the block in a drawing all the grips show up for the the circle elements even though ony two circles are visible at a time.

Is there a system variable or something that controls this?

Is there a system variable or something that controls this?i don't know why that's behaving that way for you, but have you considered no vis states? a scale action linked to a linear parameter (for the large circle) that's locked into sizes via a list is the route i'd take for that block.
