I have a title block with text and lables built into. I've had this title block set up for over a year and never had problems with it. I created a new project and now none of my lables are changeable. I opened the title block family and everything is fine. I reloaded my projects parameters and that still didn't solve the problem. Any ideas as to what may be wrong here?

Are they shared parameters? If you've just done a Revit upgrade the path to the shared parameter file gets lost.

That's all I can think of sorry. Try posting the file so that others can see your problem??

Cheers.

There are shared parameters in it. I did a few days ago open the family, made a few changes then saved it to my desktop and loaded that one in. Could that be causing a problem?

from what i understand is that once the shared parameter is in the family, or project it wont go away. the reason that you create a written file is that you can look at it to make sure you dont create 2 parameters with the same name. That would be the only thing that i could think of (having 2 parameters with the same name).

Okay let's say that's it. Wouldn't I still be able to actually change the lable to what ever I want once it's open inside a project? The lable I have acts like text not a lable.

do you have a project parameter that references this parameter in your titleblock? i found this issue with a custom parameter in my titleblock that was not in my project. since the parameter was not available in the project it return a value of nothing, so nothing was displayed (ie the label dissapeared).

All the parameters were working fine. Last week all the lables and their parameters worked like they were suppose to. A co-worker opened a new project and now they don't work. Could the parameters someone stopped working or lost their link (not sure how to phrase it)

***PROBLEM SOLVED***

I forgot I had my sheets pinned so the new employees wouldn't move them on accident. That was the reason why. I've unpinned them and now it works like it should. Geez I feel sheepish.... :-).
