This question is revisited every once in a while, but I haven't heard of anything from Autodesk lately. Anything going on with AutoCAD or LT for MacOS X? I haven't even heard of *any* Autodesk products on the platform anymore, it looks like they've retreated from that market completely and let Archicad et al take the field.

Hi

Please note I've *moved* this Topic (Thread) from the AutoCAD General Forum (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120) to this one as I believe it would be better served here.

Thanks, Mike

I dont think there's any plans to move ACAD to the MAC. You can use it on a Mac using the Virtual PC application, but beyond that. i seriously doubt they'll port AutoCAD to the Macintosh platform

That would be too much to ask for. I would love to take AutoCAD out for a spin on the G5. With OS X platform and numbers I'm seeing for the G5, they were meant to work together!!!
Come on AutoDesk, come out with AutoCAD LT, just too see how it will work.

Try putting this in the AutoCAD 2005 Wish List Forum, if it generates enough response, perhaps it will be presented to Autodesk... but I would have to guess that Autodesk looked into this and didn't see a strong enough following to support a version of AutoCAD for Mac.

I'm betting that you're right. But with the number of Linux users and the people that have seen the light and switched, I'm thinking that the number of people using AutoCAD for Mac would start to increase.

I give up, I'm blind, where is the AutoCAD 2005 Wish List Forum? I only see one for Programing...
