Missing tool components

After installing acad 2005 trial version, everything apeared ok for about two weeks then strange things began to happen. The properties,design center, tool pallet windows would not show up on the screen even though the tools menu showed them to be active. Also dimensions quite printing out on drawings. I tried reinstalling the program but nothing changed, everything was still missing after the program was reinstalled.

Did you happen to change your screen resolution,
or alter the transparnecy of those tool pallets?
Experiment with differnt screen resolution settings
and see if they do not show up on-screen.
As to the dimensions, did you set the layer they are drawn on
to be transparent?

You may need to right click on any of the toolbars you can see at the top of your screen and click on all the ones you can not see to turn them off and then do the same to turn them back on. This may help. I had the same problem and this helped.

I now have problems with other programs going transparent, but they usually become visable if I set them to transparent by right clicking the taskbar title, this I don't understand, this dosen't work in acad. This problem may be video card related. Thanks
