I've said this before in a reply to someone else's post and I figured it should be relocated to the tips & tricks forum.
Sick of changing families from hosted to non-hosted? I always create all my families as non-hosted. If I require one of them to be hosted I simply nest that family into the appropriate hosted template and then re-link the parameters. Makes constraining the family to the host a lot easier and saves time!
