This is more or less a general question of curiousity. Is there anyone out there who uses both Revit and PDMS in the same office or on the same project? Having the architects using Revit while the engineers use PDMS? If anyone has any experience with the co-existance of these two applications I'd like to hear about some basic pros and cons. Thanks.

I see this post is a bit old... what the heck
Yes we are using Revit Arc & Str with PDMS.
1. export from revit to .SAT
2. Convert SAT to DWG
3. Convert DWG to DGN
4. Use Implant to convert DGN to MAC
5. import MAC

Question from an innocent bystander: After 5 translations, do you trust the results?

Hi tmoberg,
Out of interest how are you managing the data? When you pull the model into PDMS from Revit are you getting intelligent data? Do all the attributes that were associated to say a beam in Revit, display in PDMS?
I am looking to find a way exporting intelligent models out of Revit into PDMS for the purpose of clash detection. I know there are other routes but the teams here insist clash detection is done in PDMS so we are trying to find a solution. Any suggestions?
Regards Danny
