View Full Version : Structural Columns don't show up in Elevation View?

I'm using structural columns and beams in my project and don't understand why they will show up in plan and 3D but not in elevation. They're just one thick line. Is there a toggle to make them show up in elevation as well?

Going through previous threads I found one that came close to my question in which I found this quote: "Structural columns are usually placed inside of an architectural column enclosure." Am I supposed to use structural columns and then place a column on top of /around it, which would be the reason why structural columns don't show up in elevations? But then it would be bothersome in 3D...

Thanks,
Axel

Change the detail level of the view from course to medium or fine.

if you don't wanna change the view level to medium or fine so that it doesn't affect the rest of the categories, you can go to visibility graphics and change the structural framing category detail level to medium only. this way your walls and everything else will still show as coarse. and it's better for performance
