Color Fill by Phase

I want to show areas in the existing phase with color fill, then show the proposed area with a different color fill. How do I make the legend mutually exclusive?

You would have to create two separate color schemes but the key (as I understand it) is that each color scheme needs to be defined by a different parameter because color schemes are not phase specific. For example if you were to define your color scheme by room occupancy, you would have to create a second room parameter called room occupancy_existing. This would allow you to create two separate color schemes. You would then need to assign the appropriate description to the corresponding rooms. (images attached).
