Lighting Fixture "Missing" in RCP only

There is a light that shows up in RCP but cannot be selected (it has somehow become part of the ceiling itself). In section (and 3D), you can select it individually, change it's properties or edit the family. If you toggle back to RCP, it will not show as highlighted (even though it is selected in another view), but will have a temp dim associated to it. It exists and is visible in every view, but cannot be selected in RCP only. It's almost like after having been hosted by the ceiling for so long the light decided to physically join to it. (Wow, I am going crazy, no?)

So, I edited the family and changed some of its properties (including how deep the extrusion cuts into the ceiling) and now nothing shows up in RCP. Again, it is still fine in all other views. As usual, I have gone through my detective's cycle and narrowed out what I would call the usual suspects and come up with nothing. Any ideas?

Try setting your cut plane lower. The fixture is on the underside of the ceiling and you cut plane is set above the ceiling. If you can't see the fixture try turning off or temp. hide you ceiling

Thanks for the response. Excellent ideas. I have (unfortunately) already tried both of these to no avail. I am thinking maybe there is a glitch in the matrix. Other thoughts?

Has anyone ever had this happen or anything similar to it? I have to be brutally honest, it appears to be a bug to me. If I can't figure it out sometime today I am submitting it to Autodesk, but I am hoping someone can shed some light on the subject...
