Today's question of the moment -
Is it possible to add a visibility parameter to a revision schedule on a titleblock? I ask because I've got a single titleblock family with two types - Schematic Design and Constuction Documents. In the Schematic Design type, I do not want the revision schedule to show. In the CD type, I do. However, when I select the schedule's properties, there is no visible instance parameter associated with it.
Help?
Thank you!

I do not think schedules have a visibility parameter associated with them. We have a couple of different title blocks and interchange them when necessary.
For instance our revision block is in the lower right corner of the drawing area near the sheet number. That gets in the way of our details. So we created a detail titleblock without the revision block. We are even considering removing it all together since we have not been using it often enough.

So basically, we're trying to do too much in one family? Instead of having different family types, we should just have different families in the template?
Seems like that might generate too much overhead in file size? Or is it negligible? I'm just trying to keep things streamlined...

Different families for title blocks is the way to control the revision schedule visibility. In the grand scheme of things they don't add much to the file size. I would recommend just purging the unused title block families when you move from phase to phase.

We have about 6-7 titleblocks loaded in our template and most projects files. The overhead seems to be negligible. We have letter 11x17 d size or E size (multiple versions) and a cover.

I was actually looking up this very thing and found this thread. The application I'm looking to accomplish, however, is to actually include multiple sheet sizes in the same titleblock family. The drawback so far has been the visibility of the revision schedule. It's usually located differently in each sheet size, so it moves around - not good. Unless anyone comes up with something, I'll resolve to the individual titleblock families as well.
