Shading hatch patterns

We have a pattern associated with a material showing differently in our 3D views. Below are two different views showing how the different walls display the same material. Two of them are in the same plane. The walls all have the same material are in the same phase and the fill pattern is Model.

I suspect this is a problem with the shaded view system but I am open to suggestions.
