I have recently encountered a problem with rectangular duct transitions that are not displayed correctly. the rectangular to rectangular fittings (say a 24"X12" to 12"X8" is actually represented by something like 24"X12" to 30"x12" which then connects into the 12"x8"). duct system remains continuous but the graphics are terribly misrepresented.

the entire file has done this. I was able to modify many of the fittings, changing the type to rectangular duct transition 2 - standard. but not all instances will work. revit ends up deleting entire sections of ductwork. this mainly happens where a duct transitions down to connect with a return or exhaust diffuser.

has anyone else seen or heard of this phenomenon.

Kyle,

I asked about the Plumbing and Fire Protection part of the MEP for Revit. Is there any idea of when this part will be up to speed. My company is wanting to use Revit across the board. Are there going to be Tutorials for Plumbing and Fire Protection. Right now you can't properly show a plumbing system right now with traps, with wye fittings, vent piping and so on. Is there a way to make this work for plumbing?

Thanks,
Fred
