Exporting to ACAD

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way when exporting to autocad the steel columns show their true thickness. Currently I'm just getting overall size but no thickness. Can Revit do this?

Yep, you can,
Before you export, set the column display rep to fine and you'll get a true col shape along with the steel hatch. If you export in med you'll get just the col, no hatch. Enjoy.
