Hiding Elevations Custom Scale

I have been hiding my Sections & Elevations quite nicely with the "Hide at scales coarser than" etc (this is a great time saving option), but i do alot of internal elevations at 1:25, and when you choose "custom scale" from the drop down list, it reverts back to the last chosen scale, being 1:50 in my case.

Does the "Custom Scale" work?
has anybody else had this problem? (is it mine specific or a Revit Querk?)
