I use transfer project standards on a regular basis when returning to update older jobs. I usually select all when doing it but all the title block info disappears such as name, address, job no. etc. I have tried deselecting project info which i am guessing is all of those details (and this may be where I am going wrong) but get an error saying

Can't Copy to Clipboard because of relationship between Elements
- Error 1
- Shared Location : Internal : id xxxxx

I have read through other post regarding transferring project standards but have yet to find a solution. This not stopping production or anything but would be nice to not have to keep retyping that info especially when through the life a job it may need be updated numerous times.

you can try to group your stuff and save the file out then reload in your other project

The problem that I have is that I want to keep the project parameters in my current job such as name, address, etc. I want materials, view templates and everything else to be imported from my default file into the current job that I have revisited. Hope I am describing this correctly.

Timely error! I just ran into that yesterday. The only way I could figure out what was wrong was by doing the Transfer Standards one at a time until I found the problem one.

Turns out it was Sun and Shadow settings

Guess that makes sense, because you'd need to know your Project coordinates and Orientation to do a Solar Study.

Just uncheck the Sun & Shadow settings and it should work.

This didn't work for me. In my case all I want to transfer is View Templates but it simply is not working. Is there something else I can check?

Thanks,

Managed to transfer my view templates. Opened a new 'dummy' project and transferred vt's from project 'a' to 'dummy' then from 'dummy' to 'b.' No idea *why* that's what did it.

??? How likely does this scenario sound? Earlier, when trying to import vt's from 'a' to 'b', my only open view from 'b' was a sheet with one view active. Using certain tools involving import or export have hung up before in this circumstance but I don't remember exactly which ones. If you can confirm or deny, please do...
