Identical Instances

I've got a project that's taking for ever to do anything and tends to Regenerate Views a whole lot.
One of the things I've found is that there are over 300 Warnings:
"There are Identical Instances in the same place"
No, not 300 of the same thing. Duplicates of 300 different things. I think someone went nuts with Paste Aligned.

Does anyone have any ideas for an efficient method to get rid of the dups? I really don't feel like clicking on 300 different check boxes one at a time. Or 20 at a time, for that matter.

Almost makes me wish for an AutoLISP program like Overkill.

Well you don't have to get out of the dialog box. Pick the warning, pick the element and you should see a delete element at the bottom of the dialog box

True, but I still have to expand 300 Warnings, then check 300 boxes, then pick Delete. And if for some reason, it can't delete one or more, figure out which one, and then expand 299 Warnings, then check 299 boxes, then pick Delete.

Now I'm even more confused.

I decided to see how long it would take to start deleting one by one. Maybe I can force somebody who gets paid less than me to do it.

One of the duplicates is Furniture. This is just a dumb chair - in fact , its not even 3D.
When I try to delete either of the instances, I get the following error:

Cannot delete or group a type driven gridline without doing the same to its host.

What the ... does THAT mean? This chair is not hosted & is definitely not a gridline.

Seem to be having a conversation with myself here.

Turns out there was a Design Option in the project. Just the primary option - no secondaries.
I accepted the Primary & now I can delete those elements.

Pretty obtuse error message, though.

That might be a good news. Identify the faultive object and delete it from the group. If, for example, you have copied that group 300 times. They're goes your warnings
