Maybe I'm hust now noticing this, but is it normal for the direction of view of a newly created paperspace viewport to be the same as the last one created? In other words, if in my last created viewport I chose to look at my object from, say, the southwest, the next time I create a viewport it is also from the sounthwest. Is there a way to force all new viewports to be created plan-WCS? (Sysyvar?)

I noticed this when using CHSPACE - if I move something from paperspace to MS through a viewport with a 3D view, CHSPACE places the object in MS at non-zero Z value. Yes, elevation is set to 0.

Any thoughts out there?

Thanks,

Hi

As far as I am aware, when a Floating Viewport is created, the Co-ordinate System (WCS or a UCS) that is current in Modelspace is used as the Co-ordinate System in the newly created Floating Viewport.

Have a good one, Mike
