Any new developments in arched openings on curved walls?
Can the opening tool in curved walls can now create arched openings?
Any new ways to create it so that it works?

Thank you!

I use a door opening family. See if this attachment works for you.

If you are needing a non passage opening, here is an arched window opening.

I personally don't like how Revit deals with any opening on a curved wall. The sides of the opening should all point towards the center of the arc, not square with the opening. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thank you, those are great. But still doesn't show properly on the floor plan view.

Yes, that is exactly the point.

actually, I was thinking "I'm going to try a generic in place family to see if I can make it work"

I just made an opening and it showed correct. It's a little bit of a workaorund, but maybe it will work with a window family that you create an opening in the wall first, then import the window family.

Ah, but like you said, you can't make the arch. I'm catching up now lol

Sorry I can't open the file. Could you send it to me? I am very interested in this issue!

E mailed to you
The door family in this project contains a blend void which replaces the opening cut, the void can be manipulated.

Hmm I just did a project where we had openings in curved walls, and the sides of the openings always pointed towards the centerpoint of the curved walls. So what's the issue? We didn't have to use any special families or anything. When you click on a curved wall, there is a button at the top to add an opening.

Don't think it will do an arched opening though.

OMG, the things that I never pay attention to LOL. I never noticed that.

Still don't see how you place any door or window family or cased opening in it. I can't figure it out.
