Hi all:

I'm trolling for an opinion or two regarding ways to approach modelling
two seperate buildings on one site. It's simple really, a house with an attached garage...

I thought about linking, but scheduling is a prob...I read a post regarding using design options, but the buildings are very dis-similar...so I'm not sure how that works.

Basically, I just need my schedules to jive, my site plan to read correctly,
and my elevations to be able to break-out correctly on sheets, etc., etc.

Phase?

hmmm, my VAR didn't have a clue....neat. He just lost his Revit support guy to a competitor, the market's heating up for Reviteer's I guess.

TIA good people,

B

You could try to do it all in one file. If it gets to be too much, then you should look at worksets. I am a single Revit user and I am working on a complex of buildings for a church. I am using worksets to keep the file managble. You can enable worksets at any time, but once you do, you have to stay with them. I would suggest taking the online class before getting started with worksets.

Worksets.

My current project is 9 buildings 1 site. No problems.Plan levels and worksets carefully.

I have done houses with attached garages... one file. I have done houses with detached garages...also one file, but I use scope boxes on those to differentiate the levels.

Thank you all for your timely responses...

As of now, I am starting tut's on worksets (really;)), as I know I should have months ago, and have resolved my immediate problem using scope boxes per HD's suggestion

Works fine on this little project.

Again,

Thanks all,
